As a parent who has had a child in Carroll Christian Schools since 1997, we have been blessed with teachers and staff that love the Lord and desire what is best for our children. CCS and its staff are committed to coming alongside families in training children to love and serve the Lord. The biblical, spiritual, and academic like-mindedness has been a constant at CCS and very important to us as we raise our children. To see the fruit, as two of ours are now in college, we are certain that God blessed our decision by attending CCS. We pray that they continue to be obedient servants as they move through each stage of their lives.
As our son started Middle School this year, our thoughts went back to the day he entered Kindergarten at Carroll Christian. His first year in that class laid the foundation for him to have a very successful Elementary School experience. We come back each and every year to our school because the previous year proves time and time again how solid and grounded the academic and spiritual program is. Without a doubt, his three years in Middle School will lay another foundation in this stage of his schooling. We highly recommend Carroll Christian Schools and it’s staff of caring, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers.
I’ve been here three years as an exchange student from China. There are many reasons I love this school including the following: everyone here is friendly (especially my small senior class); the classes are active; the principal cares about us; the teachers like us; other students help when I drop something; we learn about Christ ever day in every class; we pray before classes start; we have activities like the retreat and the junior hike where we discussed leadership; the Pastors answer questions with patience; we have field trips each year, and small group activities. I appreciate the Christian environment and will cry when I leave.
Our family has been part of the CCS family since we moved here in 1995. Matthew started in Second Grade and Kristen started in Kindergarten. They both excelled in school, in sports, and hearing the Word of God. They had caring and concerned teachers that looked out for their best interest and prayed for them as they went through the challenges of the teen years. We have very fond memories of their experiences at CCS! Today Matthew is a Certified Relationship Banker II at BB&T and Kristen is a nurse at Carroll Hospital Center.
Carroll Christian has been a part the Albaugh family for over 30 years now. Allen Albaugh (class of 1985), and Rebekah Reid Albaugh (class of 1992), have seen the results of a Christian education. We are so thankful for parents who sacrificed to send us to Carroll Christian. Carroll Christian has taught us to use our talents for the Lord, and to serve Him. After graduating, Allen went on to become a Maryland State Trooper. He retired in May of 2012 as a Sergeant. Rebekah graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College and majored in Sacred Music, with a church ministries minor. Rebekah has been teaching piano lessons for over 18 years, and at the school now for 6 years. We have three children. Rachel attended CCS for 6 years, and then we home schooled her for her last 6 years, graduating under the HOPE program which is also a ministry of CCS. She graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2013 with her RN degree, and is now pursuing her Masters there as well. Nathan (class of 2012) is now attending West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA majoring in History and minoring in English. He has plans to come back and teach at Carroll Christian in the future. Josiah is in 6th grade at Carroll Christian this year. If you are looking for a place where your children will receive not only a great academic education, but also a close relationship with Jesus Christ, then you should choose CCS.
