We offer soccer, basketball, and baseball at the boys’ middle school, JV, and Varsity levels. We offer volleyball, basketball, and soccer at the girls’ middle school, JV, and Varsity levels. We also have a Little Patriots’ program for all students in K5-8 th grade based on the sport in season. This program teaches the basic rules of play.
All of our teachers have a degree in their field. Many of them have experience in the area they teach. We have a number of staff with Master’s Degrees and Ph.D. degrees.
We do not use any common core textbooks or curriculum-based material. Our textbooks are from a variety of publishers including A Beka, BJU Press, and Pearson.
Yes, we provide before school care beginning at 7:20 a.m. at no extra cost. After-school care begins at 3:15 with a fee/hour beginning at 3:30. After-school care is available until 5:30 p.m.
No, the CCS student population represents over 47 different churches with less than half the students attending Church of the Open Door.
CCS offers a variety of after-school clubs such as karate, art, German, World War II, table tennis, and genealogy. We also offer a Flags and Rifles class in the spring during which students can learn a routine to participate in the Westminster Memorial Day Parade. CCS also offers band class, a strings program, choir, and art programs in daily elective classes. Our Patriot Media Crew is actively involved in broadcasting school news, taking pictures, and filming events throughout the year.
While we do not run buses in the mornings and afternoons, our parents carpool thus promoting a more family-friendly environment. A list of all families interested in carpooling is available through the office to help facilitate contact between families.
