Our Parent Teacher Organization...
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of Carroll Christian Schools is a not-for-profit, volunteer
organization with the mission of providing support and funding to benefit the Carroll Christian Schools,
with a particular focus on providing for the needs of the teaching staff. If you are a parent, guardian or
grandparent of a CCS student, you are automatically a member of the PTO of Carroll Christian Schools!
An Executive Committee of elected officers manages the PTO. Officers for the 2010-2011 school year

The PTO’s success in providing support to the school and its fine staff is dependent upon the participation of CCS families. There are many ways you can help. The PTO Volunteer form along with all other PTO forms can be found on our Downloads & Links page. Complete and return it to the PTO mailbox in the school office. You can send your form in through your child’s homeroom teacher or bring it directly to the office. Please return your form by September 7th.

PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) Meetings
PTO meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend. They are held the second Monday of each month, September-December & March-May, at 3:00 p.m. in Room 418 of the church/CCS elementary building. Upcoming PTO events will be discussed, and previous meeting minutes and treasurer’s report will be reviewed. Childcare is provided.
Grandparents Day
Grandparents Day is a day for grandparents of CCS students to come and spend a few hours observing their grandchild at school. The PTO provides a refreshment table and helpers to greet and direct visitors.
Kids Consignment Sale
The Kids Consignment Sale is a fundraising event held the first Saturday in November. Items can be donated or consigned. Donated items are priced and tagged by PTO volunteers and sold at 100% profit to the school. Consigned items are priced and tagged by the consignor and sold at 40% profit to the school and 60% profit to the consignor. Kids items only are accepted. PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship) Teacher Dinners
Parent Teacher Fellowship days are when scheduled parent/teacher conferences are held. The PTO provides dinner for the teachers on the most highly attended PTF dates in November and January. PTO volunteers plan the menu, request food donations and serve and clean up.
Christmas Shop
Christmas Shop is both a fundraising event and an opportunity for CCS students to shop for inexpensive gifts for their families. It’s held in the CCS library the first full week of December. Christmas Shop items and gift-wrap supplies are donated by CCS families or bought by the PTO. Volunteers help the students shop and wrap & tag their gifts.
Staff Encouragement (includes CCS Staff Person of the Month awards)
Bi-monthly staff encouragement gifts will be provided to all CCS staff (teachers, administrative, custodial, kitchen, Pastors, sports coaches). Volunteers will be contacted by the PTO Staff Encouragement Committee to provide specific items or baked goods for these gifts. A CCS Staff Person of the Month award will be randomly selected each month from nominations submitted by CCS parents, students and staff. Nomination forms are available at the school office and via the CCS web site by clicking the PTO link. Completed nomination forms can be placed in the nomination box in the school office or sent in through the student’s homeroom teacher. Staff Appreciation Week
Staff Appreciation Week is held the last week of school. A meal, either breakfast or lunch, is provided for teaching staff Monday through Friday. One of the meals will be a luncheon for all CCS staff, at which end-of-year teacher gifts from the PTO are distributed and the CCS Administrator presents administrative awards (Teacher of the Year Award, Years of Service Award). Donations of food items and supplies are requested from PTO volunteers for the meals.
